We're a Pan-African Alliance of refurbishers, recyclers, ITADs, NGOs, businesses, government agencies, and industry-related solutions and services providers that aim together to scale access to technology for teaching and learning and rethink ways of recovery and recycling of end-of-life devices to end the illicit flow and negative impact of e-waste into our environment.

WHAT WE DO

We want to advance access to technology for teaching and learning and mobilize collective efforts, resources, knowledge and actions to realize an Africa without e-waste.

Millions of Africans are marginalized from educational and socio-economic benefits of (ICT) technology which is a key driver for the development of any society. The usage of e-devices are fast increasing in Africa but, its environmentally sound recovery and recycling infrastructure and e-waste legislation are lacking behind.

This affects us all. The technology access and e-waste pollution issue is very challenging and a threat to our health, society, ecosystems, economy, security, well-being and our very existence.

To this, We are coming together as refurbishers, recyclers, ITADs, NGOs, businesses, government agencies, and industry-related solutions and services providers to act together with a common purpose - to scale access to technology and realize an Africa without e-waste. And it all begins with - ending the illicit flow of e-waste into the environment.

PROJECTS AND PARTNERSHIPS

Guided by four pillars: We are committed to solutions addressing Africa’s e-waste complex issue whiles contributing to the global circular economy.

Infrastructure

To provide ICT equipment for the advancement of teaching and learning and support the development of the necessary infrastructure to ensure sustainable collection, processing and management of e-waste across Africa.

Education and Training

To bridge the digital skills and knowledge gap across Africa and help create opportunities to build the professional e-waste industry capacity for the needed human resources through conferences, seminars, workshops, training, re-training, internships, mentorship, apprenticeship and exchange programs.

Research and Innovation

To initiate, support and implement sustainable e-waste management research programs and advance new technologies that reduce the negative impacts of e-waste, ease the recycling and recovering of e-devices, and create socio-economic value from e-waste in Africa.

Act Together and Clean Up

To engage and collaborate with governments, businesses, and communities within and outside Africa to mobilize resources, technical efforts, and citizen actions to end the illicit flow and negative impacts of e-waste through the practice of quality audits and adherence to internationally accepted recycling standards across Africa.
